DAY 9: TRANSFER TO ARUSHA / KILIMANJARO & FLIGHT

In the morning we make the drive to Arusha or Kilimanjaro where you are dropped off as we have reached the end of your safari adventure. Here you can plan to catch a flight on to other adventures (Zanzibar add-on is possible) or back to your home country full of memories.

DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER

Head down into Ngorongoro Crater, cited as ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ’8th Natural Wonder of the World’. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder referred to as the world’s biggest wildlife zoo, due to its high density of resident game. In the morning we descend to the crater floor where you will be amazed by the sheer number and diversity of animals and bird life. Standing in our pop up safari vehicle the viewing opportunities are endless, just deciding which way to look and what to look at. DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO LODGE BY NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early rise spend the day exploring the vast Serengeti and we move from location to location in search of sometimes elusive game and scenic nature. Our target is to travel southwards and spend the night at the edge of Ngorongoro Crater to be ready for the last highlight of this 9 days Luxury Uganda & Tanzania Safari the next day. DAY 6: EXPLORE THE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Today we have a first day in Serengeti National Park and you will marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while journeying through this acacia-spotted Savannah. Game sightings abound. Have lunch and relax a bit during the hot hours of the day. Later on in the afternoon, as the animal kingdom comes alive, continue your search for the “Big 5″ – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino – while taking in the vastness of the Serengeti plains heading for the lodge as the sun sets on this magnificent animal kingdom. DAY 5: REGIONAL FLIGHT TO KILIMANJARO, TANZANIA, THEN FLIGHT ON TO GRUMETI/SERONERA, SERENGETI

Air transfer to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, arriving at 12.55 pm. At Kilimanjaro airport you then wait for the connection flight to Grumeti/Seronera (depending on lodge choice), Serengeti at 15.15 pm. Be picked by your guide at the airstrip in Grumeti/Seronera and transfer to the luxury lodge to enjoy your first evening in Tanzania for this Luxury Uganda & Tanzania safari. Note that the airlines can change flight times and the itinerary then needs to be adapted to their changes. Overnight: – Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge (L) – Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp (PL)

DAY 4: FLY-OUT, BWINDI-ENTEBBE AIPORT

Enjoy a nice breakfast and soak in the last of the magnificent views of the Misty mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable national park. In time for your flight your guide takes you down to the airstrip and wishes you a safe journey. You leave Bwindi with unforgettable memories of your meeting with the mountain gorilla. When reaching Entebbe you are picked at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Overnight: – Hotel No.5 (L)

DAY 3: GORILLA TREKKING DAY

After briefing, walk off into the jungle with a group of up to eight people and a specialised guide to trek to the point where the gorillas are. A search team is always sent out in the early morning to locate the gorillas and lead the trekking guide to that point. Bwindi is a beautiful jungle so the trek is an experience in itself. When you reach the point where the gorillas are, you spend one unforgettable hour with them, hopefully spotting the great silverback, seeing some young members playing and studying these fascinating creatures close up. DAY 2: FLY-IN, ENTEBBE TO BWINDI, AND RELAX AT THE LUXURIOUS LODGE

Flight to the south of Uganda and an airstrip close to Bwindi Impenetrable national park (which one depends on the choice of accommodation). At the airstrip, our guide waits for you in a comfortable car to take you to the lodge. It is a drive offering great views of the mountains as you enter into the forest that is the home of the Mountain Gorillas. Spend the rest of the day and evening relaxing at the lodge getting ready for tomorrow's big adventure of mountain gorilla trekking.
