DAY 3: CHIMPS TREKKING IN KIBALE FOREST

After breakfast we drive over to the chimps trekking starting point in Kibale Forest, here you go in the jungle in a group with a specialised guide, the first highlight of this Luxury Uganda & Rwanda safari. Kibale forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees After the trek your guide picks you and takes you to the lodge to relax. Overnight

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO CRATER LAKES BY KIBALE FOREST

In the early morning we leave busy Kampala behind and drive towards Kibale Forest. Leave the bustling city of Kampala behind and head out to the countryside. We pass by markets, villages and tea-estates where we can make stops to break the journey. Arrive at the beautiful lodge for an afternoon of taking in the luxurious scenic setting. DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO UGANDA AT ENTEBBE AIRPOT

Arrive at Entebbe airport for your Luxury Uganda & Rwanda safari. We meet our tour guide and transfer to the hotel in Kampala to relax after the flight to be ready for the adventure starting the next day

DAY 10: TRANSFER TO KIGALI & FLIGHT DAY (PLAN FOR EVENING FLIGHT)

We start our journey in the morning with Rwanda’s capital Kigali as our target destination. Once again we get to experience the countryside and scenic landscapes along the way. We expect to arrive in the city during the afternoon so plan for an evening or night flight from Kigali airport (or add a night to fly the next day). Your guide drops you at the airport as we have finished your Luxury Uganda and Rwanda safari

DAY 9: CANOPY WALK IN NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

This morning you head into Nyungwe forest for a canopy walk to experience the jungle for the last time during this Luxury Uganda and Rwanda safari. After the walk, we head back to the lodge to enjoy an afternoon of luxury in a close-to-nature setting. Overnight: – One & Only Nyungwe House (PL)

DAY 6: GORILLA TREKKING DAY- MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK

Drive to the gorilla trekking starting point where your adventure will begin. You are led into the forest in a group with a specialized guide and make a trek to the point where the gorillas are. Then you get to spend one unforgettable hour with the gorilla family. After the trek, we set off for our target destination Rwanda, the second country in the Luxury Uganda & Rwanda safari. Drive out to cross the relaxed border post and continue on through a beautiful landscape in Rwanda to reach the lodge by Virunga national park where we spend the night. Overnight: – Virunga Lodge PL

DAY 5: GAME-DRIVE IN ISHASHA AND TRANSFER TO KISORO BY MGAHINGA NP

After breakfast, we leave the lodge and head towards Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Ishasha is known for its tree-climbing lions, one of two places in Africa where the lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to rest. We drive along the tracks seeing buffaloes, topis, and hopefully the lions in the fig trees. After the morning game drive, we continue the journey to Kisoro and the beautiful lodge by Mgahinga National Park, where this night of the 10 days Luxury Uganda and Rwanda safari will be spent. DAY 4: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NP & BOAT-CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL

We leave Kibale Forest in the morning and drive through the beautiful crater lakes region down to Queen Elizabeth national park. We have lunch and get to the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. This natural channel connects Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you can see Hippopotamuses yawning, Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks, Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog, impressive elephants, and more.
